Diary Whisper ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share:

• Voice recordings
• Diary content or transcripts
• Personal information
• Location data
• Contacts or device information
• Analytics or usage statistics
• Advertising identifiers

3. Local Processing

All core functionality operates entirely on your device:

• Voice Recording: Audio is stored locally in encrypted format
• Speech-to-Text: Transcription runs on-device using Whisper AI model. No cloud services
• Mood Detection: Sentiment analysis runs locally using keyword matching
• Data Storage: All diary entries are stored in an encrypted SQLite database (256-bit AES encryption via SQLCipher)

No internet connection is required for the app to function. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export and share it.

4. Subscription & Billing

If you subscribe to Diary Whisper Pro, the subscription is managed via Google Play Billing:

• Subscriptions are auto-renewable
• We do not see your payment card data or billing information
• Google Play handles all payment processing
• Purchase tokens are verified with Google Play Developer API to prevent fraud
• We only store: order ID, purchase timestamp, and product ID (no personal data)

Managing Your Subscription

To view, modify, or cancel your subscription:

1. Open Google Play Store app on your device
2. Tap Menu → Payments & Subscriptions → Subscriptions
3. Select Diary Whisper Pro
4. Tap Cancel subscription

Refunds: All refund requests must be made through Google Play. We do not process refunds directly. Visit Google Play refund policy for details.

5. Third-Party Services

We use Google Play Services solely for in-app purchase processing. Google Play may collect transaction data per their privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

We do not use:

• Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Crash reporting services
• Social media SDKs

6. Data Security

• Encryption at Rest: All diary data is encrypted using SQLCipher (256-bit AES)
• Encryption Key: Stored securely in Android Keystore
• Backups Disabled: Android system backups are disabled for diary data to prevent cloud exposure

7. Data Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete Individual Entries: Swipe to delete within the app
• Delete All Data: Uninstall the app. All local data is permanently removed

Since we do not collect data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete.

8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA Compliance)

• Data Access: You have full access to all your data (it's on your device). Use the export feature to retrieve it
• Data Portability: Export your entries as plain text files
• Data Deletion: Delete entries or uninstall the app
• No Opt-Out Needed: We don't collect data, so there's nothing to opt out of

9. Children's Privacy

Diary Whisper is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app, please contact us.

10. International Data Transfers

No data transfers occur because all processing is local. Your data never leaves your country or region.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
